We are deeply saddened to announce the death of Tess, aged 88.

She died peacefully on 24th May 2026 with her family by her side.

“Really, universally, relations stop nowhere, and the exquisite problem of the artist is eternally but to draw, by a geometry of his own, the circle within which they shall happily appear to do so”. Henry James

When she discovered this quote she fell on it, as though at last she’d found a description of the problem of the artist. She devoted her life to that exquisite problem.
